Greetings Dear Reader,

I am glad that you choose to peek on this page as well.

This blog is ongoing project. I’ve started writing blog because I’ve wanted to summarize what I’ve learned, got curious about and tried to learn; and attempt to communicate that with this blog medium. I am hoping that the content will someday succeed in communicating realizations for others as well, serve as a discussion platform and through that kind of dialogue enable new kind of thinking and action as well.

I’ve born and raised small village in south-eastern Finland in 1987. I lived there until my parents divorced when I was about 13 years old. As a consequence I ended up moving a few times in several years and caused me to feel a bit separated from the world I was living in. Big change like this had impact which caused depression, however after which I’ve been more resilient than ever. Big theme that emerged from all these years was my sense of connectedness with the world. Now a decade later I did a test on Clifton StrengthsFinder and I got the connectedness as my major strength.

By connectedness I mean seeing the world, people and pretty much everything connected to each other in some way. This is also why I am writing in English as I feel that by doing so I am part of much larger community.

English has been a language of curiosity for me ever since I was a child. In school it was the only subject that I was consistently interested in. Now as an adult, I still see immense potential in learning better this language, therefore I try to read and write a lot in English as well to stay sharp.

World is indeed more connected than ever, thanks to the recent innovations in technology, service and travel. I’ll have more interesting books available to read at home than I can possibly can have the time for. As an introvert, I feel great about this most of the time: I can find well written and research material about topics of my interests.

While learning is really interesting and crucial, there is a great weakness there too. What we’ve learned, we’ve got to apply, and to apply, means to take action and try. My wish for myself would be that 1) I would read a lot 2) apply what I’ve learned in life right away 3) write and share about the experiences, build the thoughts further.

With these ingredients I hope this will be even better blog in the future!

Warm regards,

Janne Piiroinen

  1. Hello Janne

Thanks for the follow! How have you been and how’s your blog doing?
I don’t know if you know that I moved my blog to a self-hosted platform. This has prevented me from connecting with WordPress bloggers like I used to. I would still like to remain in contact with your blog. Do you have an RSS feed I can subscribe to?
If you would still like to follow my blog, may I add you to my mailing list? I send out one email per day with all the blogs posted for the day including blogging tips. You can also unsubscribe at any time if you feel you want to stop receiving the emails. If you are happy for me to subscribe you, please send me your email address.
Also, I created a blogger tips group to connect with all my long last WordPress blogger friends, and to help all of us to learn from each other. I would love for you to share your knowledge in the group and connect with other bloggers. Here’s the link:
